And just like that the curtain comes down on Cul Camp ‘23. A disappointing way to end today, but in the end the rain Gods won out.
Thanks to all the great kids who were a pleasure to be around. We had a great week and they were mad for fun and games. Thanks to the parents for your patience and support at drop off and pick up times.
During the week we had Cork senior hurlers Dáire O’Leary and Mark Coleman with us, and today Cork camogie star Laura Hayes was due to come, but
hopefully we’ll get Laura back up before too long. Thanks to the lads for the time taken to chat to the kids and sign hurleys, helmets, jerseys and even boots!
Thanks also to our Club President Lizzie O’Leary for dropping in this week, she always raises the spirits.
A lot of planning went into this camp, so the 230 kids would have the best experience possible. Centre to that was our coaches and camp assistants who were amazing. We had helpers every day who did everything from traffic management, registration’s, shop runs and lots more. Thank you all, you played an absolute blinder all week.
We hope all the boys and girls keep playing our Gaelic Games. It’s great to stay active and healthy and you’ll make friends for life. Hopefully we’ll see you all at club trainings next few weeks and of course at Cul Camp ‘24.
