FEILE WEEKEND
10/06/2019
John O’Neill of The Hut bar and Club Vice-President, has been one of the most loyal supporters of Watergrasshill GAA for decades.
He turns up to so many games, attends Executive meetings and one of the main club Lotto sales outlets every single week.
John and Betty have been the most generous hosts to so many Watergrasshill teams celebrating wins and recovering from losses over the years.
Here’s John continuing the warm welcome in hosting a reception for the National Féile Winners.
Thank you John and Betty for the support and hospitality - it is very much appreciated.
Winners!
Watergrasshill GAA is proud to be a Support Partner of Le Cheilè Africa.
We were delighted to work with Watergrasshill United on the football boots appeal over the past few weeks.
Today, we handed over six full sets of jerseys no longer being used by the club to Derry Desmond for the Le Cheilè Sports Development programme in Kenya.
Photographed at the handover were Derry Desmond of Le Cheilé with Sam Dennehy, Kitty Dennehy and Adrienne McCarthy of Watergrasshill GAA.
Wishing Derry and all at Le Cheilé many happy days with these jerseys just as we had with them.
Some of our supporters braving the elements during the Feile Semi Final of the shield .
Off to play St James of Wexford In the final !
Best of luck !
Watergrasshill GAA held a BBQ for our Feile players, families, supporters and our friends from Cois Fharraige on Saturday evening at Pairc Felix Sarsfield.
It was a beautiful summer evening and all who attended were treated to good food, refreshments and music.
Presentations were made by Watergrasshill and Cois Fharraige to the other club in recognition of the friendship and cooperation over the past weeks and particularly this weekend.
Special thanks to Johnny O'Regan who arranged the beaming of the Cork-Waterford game, provided the PA system and was a superb DJ on the evening.
Thanks also to all those who cooked, served food and drink, helped with the set up and clean up and provided equipment that helped make the evening such a success.
Wishing our friends from Cois Fharraige and @Bearna-Na Forbacha Hurling Club safe journey home on Sunday.
