Yesterday evening Martin Fogarty from Kilkenny visited Watergrasshill GAA club to give a coaches coaching session. Martin is the National Hurling Development Manager with the GAA and is tasked with development, promotion and growth of hurling across the 32 counties. By God you couldn’t get a more passionate man in this position. Listening to him speak about hurling and coaching of hurling was infectious. We had 50 coaches present from both hurling and camogie and from within the club and from neighbouring clubs. It was great evening of learning with plenty of laughs along the way to. Sincere thanks to Martin for travelling down and spending the few hours spreading the hurling gospel. Thanks to our clubmate Noel McCarthy for organising the evening and to members of our U16’s who did the session under Martins tutelage. A great evenings work
